Immediately after the session began, Sindh Mines and Mineral Resources Minister Irfanullah Marwat pointed out to Speaker Syed Muzaffar Hussein Shah the presence of PPP MPA Syed Murad Ali Shah who had been restrained by the Speaker on Monday to attend Tuesday's session.
Marwat said that Murad Ali Shah had ignored orders of the Speaker and that he should be asked to leave the House in compliance with Speaker's orders.
Murad Ali Shah refused to comply with the orders. As he refused to comply with the Speaker's orders, the members from both sides began to express their point of views.
It didn't take much to begin a heated discussion on the issue. Fiery members from the opposition tore down copies of the Speaker's order and protested against his ruling.
They maintained that the Speaker was not permitting the opposition to play its due role and denying them opportunities to express their views.
Syed Muzaffar Hussein Shah tried to maintain order in the House and found it frustrating that the members were reluctant to listen to him.
Finding no other alternative, he adjourned the House to meet on Wednesday.
Later, addressing a press conference at his chamber, Syed Muzaffar Hussein Shah said that he would not allow the minority to hostage majority and run the House according to his whims.
He said he was the custodian of the House and would not let anyone destroy its discipline.
The Speaker said that despite repeated requests the opposition totally ignored him and continued with their activities, adding: "They did not permit me to speak and tell them that the adjournment of session would be against their interest."
He said he wanted to take up bills they had presented, but the disturbance took it toll, adding that the opposition should now learn to maintain parliamentary decorum.
